This course discusses the commercial mobile home insurance policies available in the marketplace. The purpose of the course is to train the agents on the coverages and exclusions in the policy so they can accurately quote examples of coverages and limitations to the buying public. This course covers commercial mobile home insurance, including an understanding of insured perils, exclusions, conditions, and additional coverages. We will examine the complete details of the policy with definitions and explanations comparing and contrasting it with other coverages available in the marketplace. Enhancing this training will be specific examples of real life situations used to add to the learning experience for the students.

Ethics in Insurance and Business

The Ethics in Insurance and Business course purpose is to educate the insurance professional on what it means to be an insurance professional, in light of the fact that they are usually held to higher standards. The course compares the ethical relationship to legal behavior of insurance producers, and the moral responsibilities insurance professionals have which extend beyond their legal responsibilitiesWe will also discuss the types of authority that are related to the activities of insurance producers.

Manufactured Home

This course discusses the manufactured home insurance policies available in the marketplace. The purpose of the course is to train the agents on the coverages and exclusions in the policy so they can accurately quote examples of coverages and limitations to the buying public. This course covers manufactured home insurance, including an understanding of insured perils, exclusions, conditions, and additional coverages. We will examine the complete details of the policy with definitions and explanations comparing and contrasting it with other coverages available in the marketplace. Enhancing this training will be specific examples of real life situations used to add to the learning experience for the students.

Motor Home

This course discusses the motor home insurance policies available in the marketplace. The purpose of the course is to train the agents on the coverages and exclusions in the policy so they can accurately quote examples of coverages and limitations to the buying public. This course covers motor home insurance, including an understanding of insured perils, exclusions, conditions, and additional coverages. Travel Trailer

This course discusses the travel trailer insurance policies available in the marketplace. The purpose of the course is to train the agents on the coverages and exclusions in the policy so they can accurately quote examples of coverages and limitations to the buying public. This course covers travel trailer insurance, including an understanding of insured perils, exclusions, conditions, and additional coverages. We will examine the complete details of the policy with definitions and explanations comparing and contrasting it with other coverages available in the marketplace. Enhancing this training will be specific examples of real life situations used to add to the learning experience for the students.

Specialty Dwelling

This course is a detailed study of the insurance products available for low valued dwellings, affordable dwellings, rental dwellings and vacant dwellings  or - Specialty Dwelling Products- coverages which are not usually covered under a regular homeowners’ policy.

Marine

This course discusses boaters insurance policies available in the marketplace. The purpose of the course is to train the agents on the coverages and exclusions in the policy so they can accurately quote examples of coverages and limitations to the buying public. This course covers boaters insurance, including an understanding of insured perils, exclusions, conditions, and additional coverages. We will examine the complete details of the policy with definitions and explanations comparing and contrasting it with other coverages available in the marketplace. Enhancing this training will be specific examples of real life situations used to add to the learning experience for the students.

Homeowners Insurance

The Homeowners Course discusses the ISO Homeowners Insurance Policy and is based on the year 2000 ISO HO-3 Policy. In this course the learner will explore general information about the Homeowners policy such as the history of the homeowners insurance, structure of the policy and common terms and definitions. The course also covers in detail the Section I - Property Coverages and Section II Liability Coverages. The courses goes over the various types of Homeowners forms as well.  Enhancing this training will be specific examples of real life situations used to add to the learning experience for the students.

Personal Automobile Policy

The Auto Insurance Course discusses the ISO Auto Insurance Policy and is based on the ISO Personal Auto Policy (PP 00 01) form. In this course the learner will explore general information about the ISO Personal Auto Policy including being able to explain the terms and concepts that are used throughout the policy. The learner will also be able to list and explain each of the four main coverage parts of the personal auto policy. At the conclusion of the course the learner should be able to explain at least three exclusions that are specific to each over the coverage parts of the automobile policy and be able to describe two of the insured’s duties after an automobile accident. Enhancing this training will be specific examples of real life situations used to add to the learning experience for the students.

Off Road Vehicle Insurance

Off-road vehicles are typically vehicles that are designed to travel off-road or on rugged terrain and surfaces. In this course the learner will explore general information about the Off-Road Vehicle Policy including being able to explain the terms and concepts that are used throughout the policy. The learner will also be able to list and explain each of the different types of Off Road Vehicles. The learner will also be able to list and explain the four main coverage parts of the Off-Road Vehicle policy. The learner will also be provided a general overview of the Underwriting program rules of the Off-Road Vehicle course. Enhancing this training will be specific examples of real life situations used to add to the learning experience for the students.

Motorcycle Insurance

This course will introduce you to the motorcycle product and highlight the key information about our policy and underwriting guidelines. This course contains four modules. The first module contains an overview of basic insurance terms and parts of a basic motorcycle policy. The second module provides information on the various types of motorcycles, In the third module the learner will get an overview of the Foremost motorcycle policy, coverage’s an programs. Module 4 is an overview of the Foremost motorcycle and underwriting criteria, binding authority, and risk evaluation process.

CE Credits

Q: How many CE credits do I receive towards my license for successfully completing an online course?
A: Click on CE Information to see how many credits have been approved in each state.  You can also refer to the credits and pricing map on the home page.

Q: Who notifies the state of course completion and CE credits?
A: Foremost reports to the state, where required, and issues a certificate of completion when an individual completes a course. In some states the individual is responsible to report CE credits. In that case our obligation is to send you a certificate of completion. Please review the CE reporting rules for your state's Department of Insurance.

Q: What states require a monitor to be present while taking an online course exam?
A: Exams taken for CE credit in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming must be monitored by a disinterested third-party, a licensed agent or a supervisor/manager. 

South Carolina and New York require a state-approved monitor. A list of South Carolina and New York approved monitors is available on each state's Department of Insurance website. Arkansas requires the use of their own form (Appendix G) as proof of proctoring.

No CE credits will be issued until Foremost receives the Affidavit of Exam completion (for states that require this form).

Q: I completed and passed an online course, but the CE credits have not shown up towards my license renewal yet. Who do I contact?
A: Please email education@foremost.com

Q: I am licensed in a different state than where I live. Will CE credits for a course apply to the state where I need CE credit?
A: If the same course is approved in the state where you are licensed totaling the same number of continuing education credits, then the credits will apply. Please click on CE Information to see if the course is approved in the state where you need the CE credit.

Q: I completed and passed an online course for CE credit but did not receive a certificate of completion. Who do I contact?

Q: I attended a classroom seminar, but the CE credits have not shown up towards my license yet. Who do I contact?
A: Please contact education@foremost.com

Q: I took the same course a year or two years ago, will I still get CE credit if I take the same course within this time frame?
A: Each state has a compliance period in which you need to fulfill a certain number of CE credit requirements to renew your license. If you have taken the same course twice within the same compliance period, only one set of CE credits would apply. Check your home state CE rules to see if carryover credits are allowed.

Q: Is there a limit to how many CE credits I can get?
A: No, but you must take different courses to satisfy your individual CE requirements. For example, if state B requires 20 hours of CE credit, you may take five courses at four hours a piece to reach 20, but each course must be a uniquely filed course in the state. Consult the state map located within CE Information (make sure you click on the name of the state) to find out the requirements for your state.

Pricing

Q: What is the charge per person for an online course?
A: The charge for online courses taken for CE credit is range from $25 - $40  per course depending on the number of CE credits available. If you do NOT want to obtain CE credit, the online course is free.

Cancellation Policy

Q: What is the online course cancellation policy?
A: You can cancel your registration for an online course at any time, but no refund will be given.

 

Certificates

Q: Who notifies the state of course completion and sends me a certificate?
A: Foremost reports to the state where required, and issues a certificate of completion when an individual completes a course. In some states the individual is responsible to report CE credits. In that case our obligation is to send you a certificate of completion. Please review the CE reporting rules for your state's Department of Insurance.

Q: I completed and passed an online course for CE credit but did not receive a certificate of completion. Who do I contact?
A: Please email education@foremost.com 

Q: What if I lose my certificate of completion?
A: Foremost will provide one duplicate and/or replace a lost or destroyed certificate of completion free of charge. It will be mailed to the physical address of record for the person who passed the exam. To request a duplicate copy, email education@foremost.com.

Q: Do I have to maintain copies of my course completion certificates?
A: Licensees must maintain their own file of original proofs of course completions as specificed in state rules and regulations.

Q: Do I use an existing user ID and password?
A: No. When you first login to ForemostEducation, you must create a unique user ID and password. Please write down your user ID and password and keep it in a secure location. If you forget your password, click on the “Forgot Your Password?” link and your password will be emailed to the address on file. If you forget your User ID, email education@foremost.com.

Q: Once I am registered do you send me course materials?
A: Everything you will need to register for and complete an online course is available to you on this ForemostEducation website.


Q: What if I have a dual license?
A: If this situation applies to you, call your state's Department of Insurance for details.

Q: Which producer code do I use when signing up? Do I use my Farmers or Foremost code?
A: You must use your nine-digit Foremost code when using the ForemostEducation.com website. Farmers agents should sign up as producers, not employees.

Q: What score do I need to get on an online course exam in order to receive CE credits?
A: A score of 70% or higher is required to receive continuing education credits. You can take the exam up to 3 times before having to pay for the course again.

Q: What states require a monitor for online courses?

Q: Will there be a summary of the courses that I've taken online?
A: All of the Foremost courses will be tracked for you on the website and available to view when you login. Each course will be assigned a unique number.

Q: How close can you take an online course to the expiration date of your compliance period?
A: We recommend you take the needed CE courses for your compliance period 45 – 60 days before the expiration date to ensure prompt reporting to the state. Foremost and TIP Interactive, ForemostEducation.com’s vendor partner, are not responsible for your failure to take courses within your compliance period or transmission problems resulting in late reporting to the state. Given the high volume of CE credit completion requests, we cannot accommodate special requests for last minute processing. For online courses, no CE credits will be issued until Foremost receives the Affidavit of Exam completion (if your state requires an affidavit).

Q: What online courses do you plan on offering in the future?
A: We are continually working to develop nwe, relevant courses.

Q: I am not a licensed agent, can I still take an online course?
A: Yes, anyone can take the online courses. If you are not taking an online course for CE credit, there is no charge.

Q: I am not appointed with Foremost, but I’m interested in taking the online courses and want to become appointed, may I take the course?
A: Definitely! Select the contact me option to find out more about becoming an appointed agent with Foremost.

Payment Questions

Q: When I register for a course, can I pay online with a credit card?
A: Yes! We accept payment by credit cards.

Q: Can payment be made over the phone via credit card?
A: Credit card payments over the phone is an available option. However, ForemostEducation offers an easy to use payment method that will allow you to process a payment directly on the website using your credit card when you register for a course.

Q: Can payment for a course be taken out of my agent commission?
A: Payment cannot be taken out of Agent Statement or Folio.
